Dogs by Andy K-9 Services offers Professional Training by one of our trained handlers. All instructors employed by Dogs by Andy K-9 Services have been personally trained by Andy and practice the proven successful methods and dedication to dog obedience.

• Dennis
  Dennis is a full time K-9 Handler with the Catawba County Sheriff's Office. He began his Law Enforcement Career in 1990 with the Goldsboro Police Department and was promoted as a K-9 handler in 1996. He then joined Catawba County in 1999 and was tasked with reforming the K-9 unit. He is the lead K-9 handler and oversees day to day operations and training. He is responsible for scheduling all in-service training for the unit. He is also responsible for searching all the middle and high schools in Catawba County. He handles all K9 related calls for service while working as well as his other road patrol duties.
  
  Dennis has been awarded the 2007 and 2008 American Police Canine Association's Presidents awards Narcotics Interdiction Team of the year. He is also a certified Narcotics trainer and one of only two American Police Canine Association SRO/ K9 trainers in North Carolina. He also serves on the Executive Board of the APCA as the Treasurer. He has received two Distinguished Service Awards from the Catawba County Board of Commissioners and The medal of Valor from the Catawba County Sheriff's Office.
  
  Dennis has trained and assisted with numerous Police Canines from different parts of the United States. He has assisted several State and Federal agencies to include DEA, FBI, the US Marshals. North Carolina Highway Patrol, State Bureau of Investigation, and all local agencies in and surrounding Catawba County. He has attended numerous canine seminars specializing in Patrol work and Narcotics Interdiction.
  
  

• John Postene
  John has a great soft touch and is a great communicator with both the dogs and our clients. He began his dog training career 3 years ago. After a few years he moved out to North Carolina to train with Andy. During his apprenticeship with Andy, he learned many facets of the training and breeding business, including personal protection, tracking, narcotics detection, explosives, various ring sports and obedience.
  
  John decided to settle in North Carolina and join the Dogs By Andy family. Here he brings his knowledge and passion for dog training as well as years of professional dog training experience to the Charlotte area extending the reach of Dogs by Andy to all those in need.
